Report of the July 2015 Function
The Scottish Summer may be disappointing but there was nothing to disappoint about our July dance on 31st July at the Commodore Hotel. The numbers were down on last month but approximately 65 members and guest enjoyed the music of the Nicky McMichan SDB Trio with Nicky leading Gordon Smith on drums and Matthew McLennan on second accordion. We were pleased to welcome six guests from America, here on holiday who wanted to experience Scottish music and dance, and they were not disappointed.
Much appreciation goes to all who donated prizes and dug deep to buy raffle tickets raising a grand total of £157.
Our next function is on Friday 28th August when Matthew McLennan will be back with his own Scottish Dance Band Trio. We look forward to meeting you then.
