About Us

As we were a hundred years old on 5th March 2007  we thought that we should get up to date, and that everyone worldwide should know about us. Along with your committee we decided to go on-line. I do hope that all who can, will get hours of enjoyment from it now and in future, browsing through the items old and new that we thought would be of interest to you.

John Wilson (Outgoing President- 2008)

We hold thirteen functions each year on the last Friday of each month except the Christmas supper dance, which is held mid-December, in the Osprey Suite of:

The Commodore Hotel, 112 West Clyde Street, Helensburgh

From 8.00pm.to 12.00 midnight, for the most functions. (see our forthcoming events page for details)

We also hold a Hogmanay Event in the Geilston Hall  Cardross which is very popular.

Bar facilities and raffle at all our functions. (Tea,Coffee, sandwiches are available on request at the Commodore hotel functions at personal cost).

Our dances are traditionally Scottish (ceilidh) with a few Modern. At least one of our functions in the year include traditional entertainment. Songs are in Gaelic and English.

Whether you are a member of the Association or not makes no difference! You are most welcome!

At one of our functions, usually in April when funds are available, we donate profits made to various local charities and good causes.

Why not come along for an enjoyable entertaining evening and support our Association?

Cost of tickets for normal Dances and Ceilidh Dances is :members-£8  non/member-£10 (under 16's  half price)
